 How I became a blogger...

Tammy - Memoji Stand Pink Shirt - TP_edi

When I'm not busy working, gaming, or crafting trinkets and gifts, you'll find me experimenting in the kitchen with delicious dishes and baked goodies! I love staying active with weight training, attending car events, and running 5K races with my husband—it helps balance out the sweet treat testing! I am a huge Food Network fan, I proudly collect cookbooks and autobiographies from my favorite chefs. My passion for cooking and crafting started young, inspired by family, friends, and the amazing Julia Child—my first three-course meal at just 9 years old ignited a lifelong love for the kitchen!

Fast forward to 2015! Meeting my husband has opened my eyes to a vibrant new world. He’s lifted me up with his unwavering support, inspiration, charming nature and all-around gentlemanly ways; I’m so grateful for him! With him by my side, I’ve transformed myself and created a healthier lifestyle filled with soul-searching, trials, and amazing experiences. Now, I’m excited to revamp our favorite family recipes into healthier delights, and delicious treats that everyone can savor!

Dedicated To My Love…

“You are the butter to my bread, and the breath to my life…”

In 2017, I was incredibly excited to launch the Craft With Tammy website! CWT was created from passion for cooking and crafting, aimed at helping everyday individuals and families with easy creative craft projects, tried-and-true tips, and budget-friendly dishes. I love sharing real snapshots from my kitchen and craft table, along with my honest opinions on the products I use. I've taken classic family recipes and transformed them into healthier options for those looking to change their lifestyle, while still keeping the originals available! Whether you follow a Ketogenic, low carb, sugar-free, high-protein diet, or just want delicious, hearty meals to gather around the dining table, you’re in the right place!

Just take a look at these delicious Chewy Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies, Handmade Gifts, Nana’s Old Fashioned Custard, and Peanut Butter Oat-Raisin Protein Bars! They may seem different, but they’re all part of my life now! With a dash of creativity and a stitch of the right information, anyone can enjoy home-cooked meals, healthy snacks, and handcrafted gifts that are simple and won’t empty your pockets! All it takes is some semi-homemade ingredients, fresh produce, and the determination to make it happen!

Throughout my life, with years of cooking, crafting, and learning to be frugal, I've put a modern twist on traditional favorites! I’ve gathered a treasure trove of recipes and ideas to share from my home. With over 30 years of cooking and baking experience, I dive deep into research, testing and fine-tuning ingredients and techniques. I create recipes, crafts, tutorials, and reviews based on what I have learned and what I consider perfection. My passion to share the very best of what I enjoy with you!

My recipes and tutorials are all meticulously crafted through countless trials and adventures in the kitchen and at the craft table! Sometimes, I combine multiple recipes to create something extraordinary, or I tweak specific ingredients by adding or removing amounts. Each recipe is carefully tested multiple times by me, I get invaluable feedback from family and friends—they are the critics! And let me tell you, some recipes are simply perfect as they are, like my Chewy Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies and My Family’s Sunday Gravy with Sausage and Meatballs—they're unbeatable!

NO professional photography, NO fancy expensive ingredients, and NO paid advertising here! Just real food and genuine photos straight from my home for real people!

I truly believe you don’t need a science degree or to be a 5-star Michelin chef to thrive in the kitchen! I’ve always had a love for science and economics during my school days, and you could often find me in the science lab or kitchen experimenting late into the night! My recipes are crafted to be approachable, delicious, and easy, specifically designed for YOU to succeed!
