With just a few simple ingredients (popcorn, melted candy coating, and sprinkles!), this colorful creation comes together in minutes and is always a crowd-pleaser. It’s easy to customize with different colors or themes, and best of all... it’s so fun to make!"🎈💫

🎉 Party Popcorn – The Easiest, Sweetest Treat You’ll Ever Make 🍿✨
Okay, let’s not waste any time here—because this treat is that good. 😍Let me introduce you to what I’m calling Party Popcorn (because, honestly, what else could I name it?). It’s sweet, salty, crunchy, colorful, and—wait for it—stupid easy to make. Like, melt-and-mix easy. 🙌
I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be the quickest, tastiest treat I’ve whipped up in ages—and now I’m wondering where it’s been all my life. Seriously, I can think of dozens of birthday parties, holidays, school events, and last-minute gatherings where this could’ve saved the day. 🎂🎈
💡 What You’ll Need (Just 3 Ingredients!):
🍿 Popcorn – Homemade or microwave. Whatever works for you!
🍫 White candy coating – Almond bark or candy melts are perfect.
🌈 Sprinkles – Use whatever colors match your vibe or party theme!
That’s it. Really. No oven. No baking. Just melt, mix, and munch! 🎉
🍿 Let’s Talk Popcorn
You can totally go the old-fashioned route and pop your own (check out Simply Recipes if you need a guide!). BUT… if you’re like me and want to keep it easy-breezy, microwave popcorn works beautifully. I used Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn Kernels, sprinkled with a little salt and it was just right! Just enough salt to balance the sweet coating. 😋
🍬 The Sweet Stuff
For the candy coating, I went with vanilla almond bark (those big blocks you can melt down) or candy melts—they both work like a charm! Personally, I avoid white chocolate chips because they sometimes get moody and don’t melt smoothly. 😅
To prep:
Pop your popcorn and place it in a large mixing bowl (or a giant baking sheet if you want space to spread out).
Melt your candy coating (follow the package instructions—it’s usually just microwave and stir).
Drizzle and toss! Pour the melted candy over the popcorn and mix gently until evenly coated. I used my clean hands (be careful—it’s warm, but not burn-your-fingers hot). A spatula works too!
🎊 Time to Sprinkle!
Here’s the magic moment... add your sprinkles before the coating sets! 🌈✨I used multi-colored nonpareils because that’s what I had on hand, but you can totally customize the look:
💙🩷 Baby shower? Use pastels!
🏈 Super Bowl party? Team colors, baby!
🎂 Birthday bash? Match the cake!
🎃 Halloween? Orange, purple + black!
🎄 Christmas? Red + green!
🌀 Marbled look? Dark and white melted chocolate swirls! - Great for a sugar free version!
The options are endless and so much fun! Honestly, the sprinkles are what turn this from a basic snack into a party on a plate. 🎉
🍭 Party Popcorn is:

✅ Easy
✅ Budget-friendly

Serve it in cute bowls, scoop it into treat bags, or pile it high on a platter. It’s a showstopper snack that takes minimal effort, but looks like you went all out. ✨
So next time you’re in charge of the treats, don’t stress—just whip up a batch of Party Popcorn, toss on some sprinkles, and let the snack table shine. 🌟
Let me know if you try it—I’d LOVE to hear what colors you used or what party you served it at! 🎈🍿💬

12 cups popped popcorn, lightly salted -You can use microwaved popcorn or make your own fresh the way you like it.
sprinkles of choice or upcoming holiday
Optional add-ins: Candy pieces, M&M's, nuts, pretzels, anything your heart desires.
If making homemade popcorn:
2 1/2 Tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
1/2 cup popcorn kernels, divided
Pinch of salt, to taste
Directions:
Let’s Get Poppin’!
Pop the Popcorn
Pop your popcorn using your favorite method... stovetop, air popper, or microwave.
In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, add the oil and just 2 popcorn kernels. Cover the pot and wait for those kernels to pop—it may take a few minutes. While you wait, set a large serving bowl nearby so it’s ready to go.
Once the test kernels pop, turn off the heat and remove the pot from the burner. Add the rest of the popcorn kernels, cover again, and gently shake the pot to distribute them evenly. Let the pot sit off the heat for about 60 seconds. This helps prevent the oil from overheating before the popping starts.
Return the pot to medium heat and continue cooking, giving it a light shake every so often to keep things moving. As the popping begins, slightly crack the lid to let steam escape.
Keep cooking until the popping slows to about one pop every few seconds. If the popcorn starts to rise too high, just tip some into your serving bowl and place the pot back on the heat to finish.
Once done, remove the lid and pour all the popcorn into your bowl. Sprinkle with a pinch or two of salt (or your favorite toppings), toss to coat, and enjoy! For best flavor and crunch, serve right away—but it’ll still taste great for a few hours.
CWT Pro Tip: Remove any un-popped kernels so they don't sneak into the final mix!
Spread It Out
Place the popped popcorn on a large baking sheet or in a very large mixing bowl. You want enough space to stir everything easily without making a mess!
Melt the Candy Coating or Chocolate
Melt your white candy melts, almond bark, or white chocolate according to the package directions. Usually, this means microwaving in short intervals (15–30 seconds), stirring between each until smooth and creamy.
Drizzle and Toss
Pour the melted candy over the popcorn.Gently toss everything together until the popcorn is evenly coated. Clean hands or a silicone spatula work great... just be careful, the candy might still be warm!
Sprinkle the Magic! ✨
While the coating is still soft, immediately add your sprinkles. You can go wild here... match your party colors, theme, or the nearest holiday!
Mix One More Time
Give everything one final gentle mix to help distribute the sprinkles before the coating sets.
Let It Set
Allow the coated popcorn to sit at room temperature for about 10–15 minutes, or until the candy coating is completely hardened.
Break It Up & Serve!
Once set, break the popcorn into clusters (if needed), pile it into a bowl, or portion into treat bags.
🎉 Ready to party!
Notes:
Storage -
Keep it in an airtight container at room temp for up to 3 days... if it last that long.
